Warriors: Effervescent
When the Sun sets, a shining light will pull your leader away from the stars.
Warriors: Effervescent (W:E) is the story of littermates Peachpaw and Jumpingpaw growing up in SunClan. Since she was a kit, Peachpaw has been able to see ghosts, making her a perfect canidate for Sunclan's next medicine cat. However, when the ghost of an apprentice who was mysteriously murdered asks for her help to solve the case and put her soul to rest, Peachpaw and her brother end up discovering that their happy-go-lucky clan may be hiding more secrets than they could've ever imagined.
Content (and Spoiler) Warning: Child Murder, Religion, Warriors-level gore/violence This is part of an ongoing comic, so I will keep spoilers to a minimum, but this story deals heavily with child murder and death, as well religion and abuse.

Peachpaw
Peachpaw (she/her) is a young and hopeful medicine cat apprentice. She was chosen for her connection with StarClan and her ability to see ghosts, however she struggles greatly with remembering herbs and treatments. She makes up for it with her enthusiasm and excellent bedside manner. Plus, her ghost companion Shiningpaw is always willing to give her a helping paw. She's always been an open book, but now she has to investigate a strange prophecy and unsolved murder, all while hiding the fact that she's secretly dating a pretty apprentice from DawnClan.

Jumpingpaw
Jumpingpaw (he/him) has always been less outgoing than his sister, but he's just as confident. Being deaf, he prefers to communicate through cat sign and lots of eyerolls. He's determined to become the next leader of the clan and was overjoyed when he was apprenticed to the current deputy, Foxtail. He expected his apprenticeship to be tough, but he didn't expect to be visited by ink-drenched ghosts in his sleep offering supplemental training. But it seems these ghostsknow more about his family tree than his parents ever revealed...surely they can't be that bad?

Chimerapaw
Chimerapaw (he/they) was found as a rogue kit and taken into MoonClan, raised by Snowpool alongside his adopted siblings Hollythorn, Frostfire, and Twigpaw. Chimerapaw was initially a warrior apprentice, until a horrific accident left him bedridden for moons. Afterwards, despite his distrust towards StarClan, he decided to become a medicine cat instead, mostly to ensure no other cat would go through what he went through. He's always been a bit of an outcast in the clan, not helped by the fact that he looks suspciously like Snowpool's old fling from another clan who also went mysteriously missing around the same time he was born. Weird.

Shiningpaw
Shiningpaw (she/her) is a former SunClan apprentice, who was found dead in the woods one night, in the beginning of her apprenticeship. She was killed shortly before Peach and Jumping's birth, but found kinship in Peachkit once she discovered that the kit could still see her as a ghost! Shiningpaw had no littermates, but she was extremely close with the other kit her age, Hazelkit, who also mysteriously disappeared a few moons before her death, along with his mother. Shiningpaw can't remember her killer, but refuses to rest until the killer is caught and revealed. The issue is SunClan's deputy (Foxtail) and medicine cat (Frogspots) refuse to continue the investigation, insisting it must have been rogues. Their leader, Moosestar, is in agreement, although she seems more resigned than confident. Being Frogspots' apprentice and Moosestar's niece, Peachpaw remains Shiningpaw's only hope.

Frostfire and Hollythorn
Frostfire (left, she/her) and Hollythorn (right, she/fae/ze) are Chimerapaw's surviving adopted siblings. They lost their father in an accident with a monster, then they lost their littermate, Twigpaw, shortly after. While fae has kept quiet about the incident, Hollythorn suspects that Twigpaw's death was anything but an accident. After all, most cats don't die from wounds that appear overnight. She's certain her sister is hiding something from her, considering Frostfire has also woken up with fresh wounds in the past. For more of their story, I have an old animatic here!
